(Reported by Chen Heng, Correspondent) On April 14, 2026, the internship mobilization meeting for the summer internship of the Class of 2024 English majors of the School of Foreign Languages was successfully held in Room 313 of the Liberal Arts Building. With the theme of “Empowering Growth Through Practice, Guiding the Future Through Planning,” the meeting was attended by all students of English Classes 1–2, the English-Electronics Commerce Class, the English-International Trade Class, and the English-French Class of the Class of 2024, as well as the internship supervisor team including teachers Wang Wei, Zhang Yunfeng, Chen Heng, and Liu Yu. The meeting focused on the importance of internship practice, professional internship requirements, and school-enterprise resource matching, laying a solid foundation for the summer internship of the Class of 2024 students.

The meeting specially invited representatives from 14 enterprises, including Wuhan Yuyuan Information Consulting Co., Ltd., Zhiri Education, Yihuo Cross-Border E-Commerce, Wuhan Shangshen E-Commerce Co., Ltd., Wuhan Weiwan Zhijing Technology Co., Ltd., and Wuhan Baoqilai Trading Co., Ltd., to give presentations. The enterprises introduced their business layout, internship positions, training systems, and employment prospects, covering multiple fields such as education, translation, cross-border e-commerce, and language technology services, providing students with diverse options. Among them, Xiamen Yixue Education Group, an enterprise dedicated to cultivating "English + Marketing" interdisciplinary talents, was highlighted by Ms. Zhang Yunfeng, Deputy Director of the English Teaching and Research Office. Its dual-track internship program of “Language + Business Practice” attracted widespread attention from students of the E+ program. Yihuo Cross-Border E-Commerce will train students to become cross-border e-commerce livestreamers. These livestreamers will leverage their language and cultural advantages to sell products to overseas consumers on platforms such as TikTok, becoming a bridge connecting “Made in China” with overseas markets.

This internship adopts a two-way selection model of “student preference + enterprise selection.” Students may apply to no more than three enterprises based on their interests. For the E+ program, the school and enterprises have collaboratively developed cross-disciplinary positions such as “Language Services + Market Analysis” and “Cross-Border E-Commerce Operations,” embodying the “New Liberal Arts” talent cultivation philosophy. The summer internship for the Class of 2024 English majors will officially launch in July. The school will continue to follow up on internship process management to ensure the effectiveness of practice-based education.
